What it is:

Perspectoma is a research engine. It allows you to get a glimpse on how Google Personal Search delivers 'personalised' search results on the basis of a users Search and Web History .

How it works:

Perspectoma works by simulating Search and Web Histories. For the profiles offered, Search and Web Histories were developed. These are approximately equal to an average of two years search usage for an average user. The search terms for the Web History were derived from the profiles publicly available body of work.

When performing a search, the search result page shows you:

• the search results only available for the profile
• the search results of an anonymous user without personalisation
• the search results that are available to both, the selected profile and the anonymous user and but have a different search result ranking (blue)
• the search results that are available to both, the selected profile and the anonymous user and share the same search result ranking (green)
